No, no bike as of now. Yes, I was carted around to more bike shops on Saturday. He almost bought a big fat ass Kawasaki but decided he would think about it a little longer. I just stood there and nodded my head knowing he’ll not be completely happy unless he gets another Harley. Don’t get me wrong, we’re not motorcycle snobs. We’ve had several ( Read more... )

I'm not into the motorcycle thingie but it makes sense.

The Brokeback thing - meh, I'm with you - it sounds like just a lightweight straight person preaching to what they assume most straight people need to hear.

Furthermore, I have trouble getting overly emotional about two guys who are two wimpy too make a call and because of that they end up with two other people + extensions with a partial lie for a life.

Nah, they just piss me off ...g

Yeah, that's what I said to DH (he only watched about two thirds of the movie then gave up). I thought it was pretty crappy that those two brought others into the equation to spread the pain around.

Something else. One of the guys in real life married the actress who played his wife in the movie. I'm waiting to see how long that will last. My gut tells me he married her to prove to himself he has no gay tendencies. I saw him in an interview and he said he really struggled with all the touchy feely scenes. Hope I'm wrong and they have a long and happy marriage.

I admit it. I wondered about that too.

To be fair I think it is hard for an actor of any sexual persuasion to play the other direction if they haven't explored that already. It just has to bring up some ambiguity, which wouldn't be a big deal if it didn't freak 'em out.

Hilary Swank actually said a lot about how difficult that was for her after "Boys Don't Cry"...g

I still haven't seen Brokeback Mountain, but movies that are hyped that much usually end up being disappointing.

Have you checked out Villainess soaps? I haven't ordered from them, but I know Ammo has in the past.

You know, I have checked out her our some time ago but never ordered. I have really really super dry skin and have to make sure what I use can deal with that. Now that I've read her bio page, I see she suffers from dry skin as well. So, yeah, I'm gonna give her soap a try. Thanks for reminding me.

Oh, and another thing, her business is just down the street from where I work. Wonder if she'd let me pick up my order and save on the shipping. LOL

You know I have a LUSH vendetta, so I won't go there.

Ask if you can pick it up, they might be really cool with it. *L*

I just gave in and ordered £32 worth of A'kin products (shampoos, conditioners and hand cream. The conditioners were on BOGOF, so....) from mypure.co.uk because I'm determined to try the sulfate/cone/paraben free route for this scalp of mine.

I know that brunette (Juliette, a UK LHC-er) makes lovely soaps for her skin, I have one of her olive oil soaps here. I'm sure she'd ship :)

A Home at the End of the World is a much better take on emotional gay flicks.
