On Receiving Gifts
What is it with people and not showing gratitude or appreciation when they receive gifts? Shouldn’t the fact that I actually took time off to think about them and go out to get them something carry some significance? Has my life gotten to the point where everything I do must be for money? I've long acknowledged and accepted that the world is driven by it and that nothing can be accomplished without it, but it seems as though life has become so shallow that money is the basis by which we're all judged by.
