There's some bullshit to be said here about taking that part of yourself that you most wish to change and becoming it to the point where it becomes your biggest asset.
I don't remember how it goes.
What I will say, is that keeping oneself locked away from the world - or, more accurately, trying to - is a sure recipe for making oneself bounce off of walls until you explode in more directions than you thought you could.
My newest endeavor is to use Slightly Less Serious Business to procrastinate on Serious Business. So far it works, if only because I'm drowning in Business and have reached crisis point.
