Watchmen thoughts - spoiler heavy

There is also an animated feature made called "Tales of the Black Freighter" which is the comic-within-a-comic. There will late be an ultra super duper version of the film which works that animated feature into the main film.

So eventually, the film will have a stronger connection to the book (for good or for bad.)

I'd heard about (and seen the trailer for) the Freighter stuff. I'm psyched for it, which is probably obvious from the tone of my post. I really am so surprised at my reaction -- not only did I like it, but I liked it for reasons that normally count as flaws for me. And even changes that I recognize completely miss the point and could ruin it for some people -- like making Nite Owl and Silk Spectre II nearly superhuman themselves and the whole handling of Ozzy from casting onward -- didn't bother me all that much.
