LOST remark - spoiler if you haven't seen last night's episode.
Of all the possible resolutions to the various LOST mysteries, the resolution of the numbers is proving the most out-and-out awesome to me. Not only did we find out that the numbers correspond to the castaways (which would have been enough for me, accompanied by Esau's dismissive "Jacob's got a thing for numbers") -- but we find out the reason for that is because they represent degrees in a giant Myst-inspired lighthouse mechanism that mystically reflects distant locations (alternative realities, timelines?)
