Plane tickets aren't as bad as I thought, for being so close to the time when I shouldn't be able to buy tickets anymore.  Even after the above mentioned price, and paying my credit card, I should have about $100 + left for gifts.  I'm hoping to try to be creative for some, not to mimic the good hearted Mike.  With me being farther away from the

HEy! it's meant as a compliment! All of us in the circle of friends have telepathetic powers....see, the way I see it, we just dont have our telepathic abilities practiced and strengthened, so, they are just PATHETIC compared to true telepathic powers, thus the patheticism of the comment. ;)
