100_situations Table Daniel pulled up in front of Jack’s house and they sat quietly for a long moment. Jack hadn’t spoken since they’d gotten into the car. Neither had Daniel. Daniel was at a loss for what to say, and Jack had gone nearly catatonic after the kissing in Daniel’s office. With a sigh, Daniel opened his door and got out of the car, searching his key ring for the spare key he’d kept to Jack’s door. It had been ages ago he’d come by to pick up the mail and stuff when Jack had been stuck off world. Somehow he’d never gotten around to returning it.
By the time he’d opened the door, Jack was out of the car and moving toward him. He looked at Daniel as he passed, a look that frightened Daniel considerably. “Are you okay, Jack?”
“Beer?” Jack moved past him into the kitchen, opening the refrigerator and retrieving two bottles despite Daniel’s lack of response.
“Jack, I-“
Jack popped the tops and handed on of the bottles to Daniel, shaking his head no. “We need to talk, and this talk is going to require beer. Don’t argue.” Jack took a long drink from his bottle before squeezing his eyes shut and rubbing at them with his free hand. “Let’s sit.”
Jack led Daniel to the living room, and Daniel sank to a seat on one end of the couch, watching Jack drop onto the other end. Jack’s eyes were still closed, his face blank. “I need to say this. So don’t interrupt.” He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. “I’m not…well, I’ve never considered myself gay. It’s been a long time since…well, that isn’t important. When you…died, it nearly killed me. I didn’t realize at the time…and when you came back…I thought I could rationalize it, put it away.”
He opened his eyes, pinning Daniel to the spot. “When I saw you yesterday…when I thought I was too late…I felt it all over again. I didn’t know how to react. I lay here last night remembering all the times you could have left me and never come back…and the times when you did leave me…and I realized I was thinking about me, not SG-1.”
He hung his head. “I shouldn’t have put you on the spot like I did…not without telling you…not like that.” He got up and paced away, swallowing deeply from his beer bottle.
“Not without telling me what, Jack?” Daniel put down his beer and stood, following Jack across the room.
Jack shook his head. “What would be the point, Daniel?” Jack turned to face him. “This isn’t something that we can act on. This…whatever this is…can’t…shouldn’t…”
Daniel was nodding, but not listening. “Not without telling me what?”
Jack sighed explosively. “The truth.”
Daniel caught his hand, pulled him closer. “What truth?”
“You’re making me crazy.” Jack said, some of his natural humor creeping into his voice.
“I’ve always made you crazy.” Daniel offered, trying to tease him out. Somehow he knew there was something Jack had to say in order to move past the random bouts of kissing, no matter which direction they ended up moving. “What’s changed?”
“Hell if I know.” Jack breathed. “When I think that you…when I thought you were dead…again…I couldn’t breathe.” His eyes closed and Daniel squeezed his hand.
“And today, when you read Janet’s report?”
Jack’s eyes opened, an echo of the anger he’d felt before in them. “How could you, no, scratch that. Why would you not tell me?”
“I didn’t want to worry you and I was far more interested in getting out of there.” Daniel stepped in closer, their bodies almost touching. “The truth is, just seeing you there, knowing that you’d come for me…nothing else mattered.”
“Daniel…”
Daniel breathed in, smelling the scent that was part sweat, part after shave and all Jack.
“Hmm?”
“I want…” Before he could finish, Daniel had leaned forward, their lips brushing lightly. Daniel’s mouth opened, his tongue sliding over Jack’s lips and parting them easily. The kiss was softer than any they had shared before now, some of the desperation spent and only this…whatever this was…growing between them.
“Me too.” Daniel whispered as he pulled back, his blue eyes capturing Jack.
Jack swallowed, and Daniel’s hand was guiding him, moving him toward the wall…pressing him against that wall while he plundered Jack’s mouth with a little more assurance. Jack moaned as Daniel’s leg found its way between his, brushing against his groin. Daniel moved his leg again, drawing a deeper moan and then he replaced his leg with a hand…slowly palming Jack’s growing erection through his jeans.
“Daniel…” Daniel’s mouth slid along Jack’s neck, up to his ear.
“We’ll go slow.” Daniel breathed into his ear, and he felt Jack shudder. Jack nodded.
“Slow is good.”
It had been a long time, and Daniel was nearly ready to cum right there, without even touching himself…with the truth out between them…this thing that had been building since he’d come back…but more than that he wanted to make Jack okay with this…he wanted Jack to feel…his hand was in Jack’s pants now…skin against skin. He was already wet with pre-cum. Daniel opened his eyes. Jack leaned against the wall as if some force held him there, his eyes closed, his body tense.
Daniel squeezed the cock in his hand and Jack moaned. His hands fluttered down, trying to help, or push him away, Daniel wasn’t sure. He caught Jack’s wrists, pulling his arms up over his head and pinning them to the wall with one hand, while his other dropped back to slowly stroking Jack’s erection. Jack’s eyes opened briefly, a challenge lighting there, then dying as a fingernail on the up stroked made his eyes roll back in his head.
Daniel kissed him again, his lips soft and sensual as he brought his knee up to Jack’s balls, pressing slowly into them as he continued stroking. Jack shuddered, twice…moaning into Daniel’s mouth as he came in his hand.
They stood there for a long silent moment, Jack’s body pinned to the wall by Daniel’s…until Daniel felt him regain his feet and slowly released him. There was a heavy silence for a moment, then there was kissing again. Jack’s mouth insistent as the stumbled backward, until Daniel felt the couch behind him and he was falling into it, Jack’s mouth never losing contact. “The truth of it is…” Jack whispered, his lips nearly in Daniel’s ear. “I think…I might…”
Daniel grinned, knowing what Jack wanted, but wasn’t quite ready to say. “Yeah…me too…”
