A/Ns & Warnings: I thought I knew what I was going to write when I took the prompt. But then I sat down to write and something totally different came out. Over a year ago, I wrote There Should Be Light for poisontaster's birthday. I always knew there was more to the story. This is that more. This is bleak and dismal, even when it tries not to be. I do recommend reading the first part first. The rest will make more sense that way. Also, I took liberties with the lyrics, and they're concentrated largely in this middle section.
