The zombies were bad enough.

Thankfully they've ceased for now. Are you all right, Your Highness ?

Mm, I'm okay now- Xing-ke protected me... and then I went to the hospital after, to see if there was anything I could do.

How very noble of you and your knight.

The attitude in this City towards death is rather unusual, young Master, as you should well know.

Have you any specific plans as to how to deal with the police?

Ideally, I would like to circumvent them, but they were the ones who took away the body of the victim before I could see how she had been murdered.

I see. Do you intend to persuade them to involve you in the case? Or simply use them?

To use them. I suspect going through the young warden would be to our biggest advantage.

Cain had returned home for a bit... though it's a pity the City returned him back here, right when he was settling in.

I suppose it's all for the best for people to be able to be protected from the curses this City brings upon its people for a while though...

Is it that usual for one to be gone for that long only to return? My butler, too, had been absent two weeks.

It's common for a few people, though I've known people who just never get to leave the City at all. I haven't for about a year and a half now!

Though, ah, a butler? You wouldn't mean Mr. Michaelis, would you?

Yes, well it's been a rather grueling couple of months for myself...

And yes. How do you know him?
