Dream Diary
So sophronia_chaos pointed out that I haven't been on LJ much. I think my subconscious decided this could go on no longer, because I had a succession of weird dreams last night, after not being able to remember any dreams at all for weeks.
(Also, I'm going to try to be better about using pseudonyms for identifiable people and places now.)

List of alien ship names
So, I've been toying with the idea for a while of an alien race naming its ships with verb phrases instead of nouns. (And there could be a plot thread where over-poetic translators render them as nouns anyway, so Our Heroes don't realize at first that The Samaritan is the same ship as To Help A Stranger In Need. Vampire Dream Diaries
The major dream that I remember from last night was set in a world where people who were turned into vampires as children continued aging, physically and mentally, at the normal rate, until they turned 18 (or possibly 21), at which point they physically reverted to the age they were at turning.

Life update and dream diary
So, as of three hours from now I'll have been back at school for a week. It feels like longer.
My job's going pretty well- at least I'm less nervous than I was before, and we got free food on Friday, which was nice. I'm glad so many of my friends are still here, otherwise I'd be a lot lonelier. I got to spend most of Saturday hanging out with a ( Read more... ) -
