I have been terrible about staying up to date with things on LJ. I'm probably going to be more active now, though, because I have more time on my hands

I am sorry you aren’t able to be with your loved ones. Just take it day by day. Take care of yourself - if you have the ability, consider counseling or therapy. It has definitely helped me :-)
Thank you so much for your kind reply! I'm actually in therapy, and it definitely is helpful. When I posted this, I hadn't been able to see my counselor yet, but now I've seen her this week, which was very helpful. And my loved ones have been visiting me a lot, as they said they would, which has helped me feel more secure as well. Thank you so much. It helps a lot to be heard. It really does. I'm one of those people who gets pretty frantic when I feel unheard, to be honest with you. I appreciate your reply.

I am the same too. Sometimes if I post, I am so scared, I just never check. I say what I want and walk away.
That being said, we are swimming in a see of information and supposedly surrounded by "people" through social media, but we are so alone, with no genuine connections or people who really understand us, that we can connect with at a deeper level. All we have are shallow, lonely, people who aren't sure of themselves.
How often are we hearing, an influencer has committed suicide? With over a million followers, there is still that loneliness that you can feel, so you decide ending your life is better than being alive.
Hence why true connections are so essential but are in very short supply.
