And Crown thy good with Brotherhood . . .

There was a bulletin sent in myspace regarding the comment Rosie said on the view and I responded back, and this is what I said:

I meant to respond to this earlier, but I forgot, so here we go. According to that bulletin you sent about Rosie and the "terrorist" thing, it said ( Read more... )

i agree with you except for one minor point. We would NOT have a USA if people hadn't followed the "If you don't like it, move" deal. Why else did the Pilgrims come over? They didn't like it. So they moved. And thus we got the settlements and all. People from all over the world don't like their present situations, so they move to a land in hopes of something they like better--Good luck finding a majority of people who aren't descended somewhat from people from another land, and all because people didn't like it, so they moved ( ... )

Well, the pilgrims are a slightly different issue. That was their choice to move and they were being slaughtered for their beliefs (which is funny, because they did the same thing to non-Christians when they got over here). Also, people who move to a different country/state/city/whatever, because they do not like it there, is again, a choice they have to make. But, the "If you don't like it, move" statement are people saying, "we don't want to hear your crap so get out." But, yes I agree about Rosie saying things for the purpose of getting the Conservatives something to talk about ("let's give 'em something to talk about" . . . sorry, I just had to :-)), but people are saying that she should be taken off the air permanently. That is a bunch of bull, because Bill O'Riley (whom I HATE) says crap all the time that anyone in their right mind would get upset about, but he is still on the air, but he is the driving force behind trying to get her kicked off the television. It's kind of the same thing about books . . . "I don't like the ( ... )

the pilgrims perhaps, but look at the massive influx of immigrants throughout history. America wouldn't be what it is today--good or bad--without that ability to not like it and move mentality. People aren't saying what they mean then when they tell someone to do the same.

I understand what people are saying. I hate censorship to a certain extent, although I don't like the idea of parents not being able to control what their younger children are exposed to, but that's a completely different issue. But censorship runs both ways. and unfortunately, I don't hear Rosie fighting to have opposing viewpoints allowed. I'm not arguing your point, I'm just saying she's a bigoted poohead. And yes, that is a completely professional and adult insult. :)

I apologize oh wise one for the pilgrims mistake. :-)

There are banned books all over the place down here . . . it's not even close to being funny.

And for the record, I am not a fan of Rosie. I think she has her funny moments, but she starts stuff just for people to talk about it. So, none of that mentioned above was to say that I a fan of hers but to say that people do have the freedom and the right to say whatever they want to say.
