Okay, I want to address something that a few people have been asking me to think about and that is my choice to do Pennfoster for my Human Resource Management degree because it is a vocational school and not a University. According to the definition of vocational school, it is:

You said it's a $19 down payment and $39 a month... Which if you do the math, rounds out to 22 months it will take you to pay it off/complete your degree. An associates degree takes 24 months. So somewhere, the statistics you've posted are incorrect.

Thanks for devoting an entire entry to trying to make me (and others) feel like we're stupid and DON'T know what a vocational school is. I can't speak for everyone else, but you've failed on that score. But please remember, you're the one who has NOT referred to the school as a vocational school until NOW.

I was just saying. Training is great. But you can get on site training for FREE and be PAID for it. If you're going to pay for something why not get the educational background that goes with it? In my eyes, that's a waste of money, pure and simple.

This wasn't made to make you or anyone else look/sound stupid. I was just explaining myself. A regular associates degree, in a school, takes two years. This online course lets you work at your own pace. It usually takes 2 years, but it can take up to four if you have a busy life.

Here is the website that shows that it is $900+ a SEMESTER.

As I said in my initial post, you are explaining something incorrectly. Because the way you explained it in your ORIGINAL post on the topic, there is absolutely NO way it works out to be $900 per semester.

And by the way, you can work at your own pace in ANY college. They're not offering you anything spectacular with that. You can choose to take 1 class or a full course load. Depends whether you register as full time or part time.

You weren't kidding about it being a bitchslap.

I think that most of us just wanted to be sure you weren't going to be cheated; online college is really a great innovation and certainly helpful for those of us who have full time jobs/lives but there are still a lot of ways to get screwed by it.
