Can't Lose 10 cwby30 January 16 2008, 17:15:25 UTC
Mornin'.

Well, liked this chapter, how you portrayed Bobby. He's only 8 years old, and is meeting his Twist grandparents for the first time, and it's so different from what he's ever known before. Jack will have to do some real parenting on this trip, helping Bobby cope and helping him to have a positive experience.

Interesting also about OMT liking Ennis. But, he's a rancher and appreciates someone who loves the land like he does, and like Jack didn't when growing up. Wonder if that will change when he knows for sure the relationship between Jack and Ennis. I hope Jack and Ennis can fix up and move into that other house, so they can be out from under OMT's thumb and have the time together they need.

Glad to see the update, hope you keep up with the story.

Thanks again.

Thanks a lot for your detailed opinion. I'm happy you liked this story, you know, it's harerd for me to write than Bluebells and Roses, because lots of other excellent fics have been written about this setting (the AU when Jack survives) so I have to avoid from reasing the other fics (and I'm very sad) but if I read something my inspiration disappear...
Thanka again

Hi dear, i'm really sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts will be with you and your family.

As for the chapter i still love reading this story and i hope Bobby will love this place and his grandmother cus it will make Jack very happy. I don't know how Bobby's meeting with John will be....Jack's father can ruin everything at this point, i think but i hope he won't.

Sorry seams such an inadequate word to say when somebody loses someone dear to them, my heart goes out to you and your family.
Making use of you talents and letting your imagination flow will help ease the pain. It is always a pleasure to read your continuations of your wonderful stories. Poor little Bobby has a lot to adjust to, I'm sure his grandmother will be a great help in that, his grandfather may act totally different towards his grandson and not like Jack. At least I hope he does not repeat his unkind behavior to say it mildly. I shudder to think what he will do if he finds out about Ennis and Jack, but maybe he has his suspicions already.
Thank you, and please take care of your self too.
Hugs

Dear Torry,
I appreciate a lot your words, thanks for your support.
I wanted to portray OMT in a little different way, I hope you'll appreciate it...life is not always white or balk, there are shades of grey, too..
Best regards, Alex

This is good, I really enjoyed reading about Bobby. And chocolate cake, that's always a good icebreaker and it is a constant when there are a lot of changes for him; I hope he gets to meet Ennis' girls too at some point. Thank you so much for sharing this.

PS. In case I didn't say it before, please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss.

well, maybe I had just eaten a slice of Sacher when I wrote the chapter ;-)
Bobby IMO is a very intelligent boy who is too controlled by LD and so maybe in a freer location he could reveal better his true self.
Thanks a lot for your words of support.
best regards, have a nice day.

Bobby's going to learn quickly that he's not going to have all the things with his grandparents here as he has at home in Texas. But I think he'll also learn that, material things aren't as important as the sincere love of family. I think that Jack and his mama will make sure that Bobby is happy with them, and I believe that Ennis will find a way to be Bobby's friend.

This is such a wonderful story. I'm really looking forward to your next chapter. : )

Hallo Debra,
thanks as asalways for reading my work, I'd really like to update faster...
Yes, you got the point, the ranch is not as comfortable as a Texas urban home, but the people are the real difference!
I wish you a relaxing and beautiful week-end.
Best regards, Alex
