Interesting chapter. It's so good to see Ennis and Jack back in each other's arms.
Alma is definitely up to something. I think she has a secret lover and that's why she's agreeing to the divorce so easily. I hope the detective agency can uncover her hidden agenda before anything happens. It would definitely help Ennis and Jack to have some secret about Alma to use as leverage in case it's needed.

Well, like it, liked how this Ennis is thinking ahead and taking action to have what they both want. He's the dreamer this time, too, but also the mover-shaker with a plan. Alma is up to something, maybe she has her own affair [with the head of the biggest dry goods/grocery supply company in England, a Mr. Monroe?], or she may know about Ennis and Jack and is waiting to play the cards right. Will be interesting to read about it.

I think this is the most frightening and dangerous Alma I've ever read in a fic. So cold and manipulative,she must be up to something,I'm sure.
I'd love to read about J&E living together and travelling and nursing their childs, I hope they can make it, they are so sweet together
