I get in trouble at museums. Not like dragged-away-screaming-in-chains trouble, but a milder sort of angry librarian trouble. "Please step away from the art." I'm not trying to steal or vandalize but I always want to see as much as possible. Now, SAT prep tells us that statements containing "always" or "never" tend to be false, but there I go ( Read more... )

I remember that piece from when Kim and I went to the Met. For some reason, I took lots of pictures of sculpture, some with Kim (for scale, of course). I got away with using a flash several times, which surprised me. Nice that the museum is so close to you!

Proximity to the museum was a big ol' chunk of our new apartment's appeal. Aside from the space itself, of course, and other locational advantages. But it was "7 blocks from The Met" that made the moving process slightly less stressful. Oh, and also, aren't you due for another museum visit soon? ;)

I wish I was coming to the city soon! Instead, we leave tomorrow to drive to Poughkeepsie for the long weekend. It's Mary Ann's 50th birthday, and we are going there for a big party with the fam. I will think of our Vassar trip, in a pickup truck, with your Mom....
