the state of the world makes me sad. as i sit here typing i wonder what it is that makes me so lucky. as my life falls apart, i remind myself how lucky i really am.

somber... if you knew me in person youd know that im nothing but positive. its sad to say, and im sure if you go back enough here in my journal youd see that i write often that i hate that it seems like my life is horrible. its simply that i write when i have no other way of coping. its not often i write when im happy, instead mostly when im sad. life has knocked me down more then many times, i manage to keep on picking up the peices, wondering why its gotta be so hard.
How true. Whenever I am feeling like my life could be a whole lot better, I simply watch one of those shows where a Christian group wants $24 a month from me to feed a boy or girl in African who hasn't eaten in 2 days and lives in a shanty town where rival factions occaisionally fire bullets at each other.
And what kind of food would my $24 a month buy for the children? Well, everyday it is the same exact meal of corn and beans heated up and stirred in some water.
What makes you so lucky is that you weren't born in Africa, South America, Russia, China, North Korea, etc. Location, location, location.
