I've wanted to try scallops for a while now, but I too have been scared. How was it getting them out of the shells and all that fun stuff? And how did you decide on the tiny ones vs. the larger ones? Price?

I bought the scallops already out of the shell, and I think they're sold that way in most places. My vendor only had bay scallops (pictured) and huge sea scallops, like 4" in diameter. The large scallops were about twice as expensive, so the choice was easy :)
