just got back from tahoe, and learned one thing. doing a drop of 30-40ft can be fun, but not if you can't see the landing ( Read more... )

man you got guts. i'm so scared of heights. Not much of an extreme sportist. Not to mention I HATE snow and cold. (Which makes no sense, living in Canada right?) haha.

Glad you didn't end up getting hurt!

as weird as it is, i'm also scared of heights...i.e. riding up the lift, i don't like looking down...

yet i don't mind skydiving...weird.

dude, i remember taking on the wave...in my pre-boarding days. backside of the mountain, waaaaay over on the left past where most people just go down through the easy, expansive bowl? when i was there, it was all packed pow and sunshine and icy. so while i could see where i was landing, it was still tricky to gauge the speed i'd land with and then maneuver around these ferocious knee-high chunks of ice. fun enough to do several times until everyone else got too freaked out by the drop or too bored with the bowl.

i don't stop after i get off the lift either. i can't stand people who sit on the lip of a run - they're in my way and what're they waiting for?
