I have so much to be thankful for this year.
GOD: Without God I would be nothing. I can’t imagine how un-believers go through a difficult time. He is who I cry to, bitch at, beg to, moan to when I’m upset or frustrated. I’ve realized He’s always been there. God’s love truly is amazing.
FAMILY: As much as they drive me insane at times, I love my family. We don’t have much, but they are very giving in what they do have. My family makes me laugh all the time. Some of my fondest memories as a child are the four of us around the table, laughing.
FRIENDS: I’ve had a… shall we say “interesting” year and my friends have shown their true colors. They’ve been there for me when I was on cloud nine to share my joy, to be part of my happiness. And they’ve been there for me when I was heart broken, to listen, to tell me how better off I am, and to offer me hit men. (ha ha, true story). I can never thank them enough. But special thanks goes to Mel for always being there for me, and for giving me the truth whether I wanted to hear it or not. To Kathy for helping me look “on the bright side of life”. Torry for being the vindictive bitch I could never be. Melissa for listening and offering advice from thousands of miles away. And all my other buds who gave me extra hugs when I needed them, told me the truth, and encouraged me to move on to better things.
WORK: I bitch about my job. But in today’s economy not everyone does. Yeah, I don’t get enough hours but I’m grateful for what I do have.
THEATRE: I don’t know what I would do without theatre. It sounds so corny & cliché but the theatre is my 2nd home. Sometimes it feels like my 1st home! 99.9% of my best friends are from the civic. I love it, I’m thankful for a song to sing and a crowd to please.
CRAFTS: I love being crafty. I’m thankful that I have the time, resources and somewhat talent to do so. :) I think a present is so much more special when it is handmade.
MUSIC: I can’t imagine a world without music. There are so many times when a song comes on and it’s just how I’m feeling, or just what I wanted to say, or just an outpouring of what my heart is saying. If it weren’t for music, well I’d be pretty messed up.
PETS: I love pets.
FOOD: I love cooking food, I love tasting food, I love eating food. This is my favorite time of year cause I get to cook really good stuff and share it with the people I love the most.
