I'm going to come right out and say it: we should go to a Minnesota Thunder game sometime. They play within biking / long walking distance of my house (on Lexington and I94. They're in the USL, which means they're 2nd tier soccer, but hey, it could be worse and i have an itch to watch it. Here's their schedule.

KK and I would both be up for that, although dipping my toes into the polite world of American sports is always weird and unsettling.

I'm not even sure all my old songs will even make sense in the US. Will the venerable and age-worn "You're going home in a fucking ambulance!" require the addendum "...assuming you have adequate health insurance to procure said ambulance."

I would also be up for watching the squeaky man-boy-genius on October 10th. Or even watching it on TV. Beer, stadium food, football and shouting profane encouragement are all things that come very naturally to me, so I'm interested.

I'm all for a Thunder game too. Maybe we need to get you some new songs for the occasion, David. Maybe we can figure out some Selby Tigers lyrics or something that'll assert our team's superiority, or promise violence to opposing fans.

Also: I think that'll be a flask affair. I have a hard time imagining there's a thriving beer vendor at a high school stadium.

I might prefer to catch the LAG cart their geriatric underwear model out on TV, but it's your birthday and if you say it's happening then I say I'm there.
