Picking plane seats online, I found out that Continental Airlines does not have an aisle 13...hmmm superstitious eh? so the aisles go from 12 to 14...where's aisle 13?????
I think only Continental is superstitious because America West Airlines does have an aisle 13. Just a thought.

I am not going anywhere. They are tickets for relatives to visit pensacola in may.

It's not the aisle 13 per se, it's just the number.

A lot of companies and such are paranoid about the number 13. I've noticed when looking at buildings being constructed, they spray paint on the side of the building what number floor it is, and often times they skip 13 and just go from 12 to 14. Perhaps they don't want bad luck during construction when it comes to that; aisle 13 though, they don't want anything bad to happen during the flight, so they avoid having the number 13 in the aisles.

Which makes me wonder. Do their altimeters ever read 13,000 feet? What about other instrument panels?

so, when your plane ticket says 14 A (or B or C or whatnot), you are actually in aisle 13...
yeah I realized that buildings tend to do that as well where there just go from 12 to 14.
