[A muffled groan comes from over the speaker, some shifting of fabric, and a dull thunk.]

Seems like I've been asleep or something? Rather odd. Let's see, judging by - ... oh, right, just look at the clock...

A week!? Oh, alright, I suppose it could be worse. A lot worse, judging by some of the things I've heard, read, what have you. So... so, hrm ( Read more... )

I'm here, and absolutely fine.

You missed a festival of "love and peace" - but from what I could tell, so did a lot of people. Aaand...

We got a boatload of paranoia right here, people swinging into panic mode. Considering just the kind of people getting caught up in it, it's a little hard not to take seriously.

Did you see just who requisitioned all the emergency supplies? I didn't know whether to laugh or worry! Someone so quick to attack the stupid and all.

Good, good. Yeah, I heard about the festival - seemed like a whole load of bunk if you ask me. The paranoia's completely unbased. Nothing's gone off with the time-dimensions about this place, everything's about as stable as it gets.

Would that be Mercury? Heh.

As I see it, act like there's nothing wrong and disaster will strike, act like everything's going to end in three days and we won't even get biting tomatoes.

Being absolutely confident nothing's going to happen is just an invite for trouble, pretty much. But the panic and the widespread paranoia is uncalled for. We're always at risk here, always waiting for trouble, and two people refer to a bad feeling - which could be anything - and everything swings into chaos!

It would be Mercury, yep! I get the feeling that because it's her, it's being taken far more seriously than it would be otherwise.

Oh yes, absolutely fine Doctor, one hundred percent, that's me. How the bleeding hell could you forget me?! Do I just not matter, is that it?

Oh, 'hi' he says! Honestly!

Good to see you up and about again, after you pulled the disappearing act. Anyone'd've thought you'd left entirely!

You haven't missed much, really. Just a bunch of people deciding the sky is falling.

You're good, yeah? With the whole sleeping for ages thing?

Fit as a fiddle and ready for love! I could jump over the moon up above! Just fine, Rose! Glad to be up and about again, sleeping's such a waste of time!

Oh, I don't know, I like it fine now and then, for a little bit. The dreams and such.

Good to have you up again, though.

Guess it's a human thing?

Yeah. Being asleep for so long is a bit disorienting.

Miss me?

...Sorry, you don't know me... you've been asleep for a week?

I've only been here a few days, but... some people are having weird feelings about something MYSTERIOUS and BAD coming, and everyone's arguing about it, and I'm kind of freaked out and I don't know if I should take this seriously or if everyone in this stupid place is just insane. ...Got an opinion?

'Allo there. It's alright, I'm fairly used to being approached by strangers and strange people, so it's all good. Yes, yes, asleep for a week, happens. More like a coma, honestly, strikes at random, no one knows why they happen. Just blam, fall asleep, wake up some undisclosed time later. Really peculiar, honestly. Expect it to happen to you at some point... not harmful as far as I can tell.

Yes, yes, this stupid place is insane. Really. Entirely. Totally - the entire compound is overreacting to absolutely nothing. Nothing.

I almost always have an opinion.

I'm the Doctor, by the way. Who're you?

...That's... really strange. And kind of freaky. This happens all the time?! ...I don't want to go into a coma! ...This place is seriously wrong, they're doing experiments on us, aren't they?

Pff. Well I hope you're right, but if you are, I'm going to be pissed off.
