Intermittently. It's quite puzzling.

[And here is booth, knocking on her door with a bag of Chinese food.]

[Brennan is curled up in her chair, nursing a can of beer and watching Jefferson and Lab play. Much to her relief, the kitten and the pig have taken to one another.

She hears the knock and debates ignoring it, wanting to be alone. But Angela is stubborn. So, with a heavy sigh, she puts aside the can and answers the door.]

I told you, Ange, I'm --

[And there stands Booth.]

Booth.

I brought dinner.

[Booth held up the bag as if to indicate he was telling the truth.]

Is Angela coming over?

[She trails off into awkward silence. Finally, she gestures to the bag.]

Chinese.

I simply need some time to contemplate my career here.

A leave of absence? Of course, if you feel it necessary...

But is there anything that I can help out with? How about we meet to discuss this?

I do. I require some time to examine my work and whether it is really the best use of my skills.

Oh, is that all? Well, perhaps we could simply find other work for you in the organization... a project that would be more attuned to your set of skills.

I work with bones, Dr. Goldsmith. There aren't that many of them here.
