So Each year our 8th grade LA/Reading teacher does Shakespeare with her class. I just happended to be walking by looking for a studnet as I walked in on them reading what ever they were reading and it started to sound familiar, so I listen for a min then start laughing to myself ( Read more... )

"Shakespeare on the Fly" is the show that Randall puts up there and it started as a School show WAY back in the day 1995/95. We were all so young back then. We did it down at Antioch HS. Randall would be the one to talk to as he owns the copyright on the show, but would probably be happy to put it together/put it up. I suspect that most of the crew would be interested as well.

There are other theatre companies out there that specialize in touring schools with shows like these. And the nice thing is that if they're already an established company with a track record of performing at schools, it's a lot easier to "sell" the idea of brining them in to your higher-ups. Their shows will be geared towards kids and edu-tainment. I see ads in PerformInk all the time looking for actors for ongoing gigs like these. Next time I see one, I'll send the info your way.
