Those side to side swells are insane, and what cause damage (even though it doesn't look that rough because they aren't "breaking" on the surface.)
I've been on a cruise ship like that in 30' seas while we were trying to evade a hurricane. One of the stabilizers broke which made the thing bob like a cork. Fortunately I don't get seasick in any way shape or form, so I had a blast. Even most of the crew was sick.

My stomach actually lurched... it's amazing,too, that the conditions don't even seem to be that rough!
