Are you sick of high paid teachers? Teachers’ hefty salaries are driving up taxes, and they only work 9 or 10 months a year! It’s time we put things in perspective and pay them for what they do - baby sit! We can get that for less than minimum wage

Good teachers don't get paid nearly enough. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing a lot of good teachers at my kid's school. :(

I agree with scarybaldguy. There are far too many teachers who simply hate their jobs or need a vacation and kids suffer for that. But honestly, you're right. They should be better paid. I have a friend who is a teacher and while I knew it wasn't easy, I didn't realize just how much goes into it. You have my respect.

I just forwarded that to my mother, who's a special education teacher. I remember a number of years ago someone bitching to me about how overpaid teachers were, and how they all drove Mercedes Benzes. O.o
