Where it is!!!

Let me start by saying that my grammar certainly isn't perfect (I'm sure that you've already ascertained that my spelling isn't anything to brag about either). I must strongly protest the addition of the word "at" to the end of sentences. I must also make my outrage known regarding the use of this incredibly annoying, utterly incorrect habit as ( Read more... )

Where can I find a shower with such exemplary water pressure? I think I'd rather enjoy it.

worse than the "-J"? anonymous August 31 2004, 02:55:47 UTC
I am beginning to wonder if it isn't so much the particular word at the end of the sentence, paragraph, ect. but more the fact that it is there in the first place. You seem to dislike all things "end", as it were. See, what about that? What about "as it were" on the end of the last sentence? I think it's the extra embellishment at the end of the sentences that is really what irks you. I think some deep soul searching is definitely in order.

-J

There's that -J again, always popping up all over the place like a little advertisement.

Hardly! If anyone has a love for extraneous adjectives, propositions, and anything requiring commas it's me! I'm irked by the fact that if you say the full sentence without the contraction it sounds awkward, inarticulate, like you don't know what you're talking about. "Where are you at?" "Where it is at!" It just sounds stupid, I've never liked that.

This website does not condone the -J, nor other letters, or words used as a party to your feeling of closure. ALso, notice that advertisement, especially of yourself, is strictly forbidden, as prostitution is illegal in IL and MI. All rules and regulations still apply. No purchase necessary, see stores for details.

I will not argue the legality of prostitution in my home state or the current residents of others. I will however have to protest to the lack of acceptance in regards to the "-J". It is in fact protected under the auspices of free speech. I cannot sit idly and watch you quell the inalienable rights of responders to your journal entries. A stand must be taken and thus will be taken here.....

"And in other news today, the supreme court has ruled that the "-J" does fall under the protection of free speech and will be allowed in live journal entries from this day forward. We will keep you up to date as facts in the case become available."

...and I call no more non-sense "fouls on sandy's decency as a human being" so don't even think about playing that card again.
