In exactly 24 hours, my plane will take off for Senegal.

Right before I do something big-like the minute I'm on the edge & about to jump-all of a sudden I think to myself "What the hell were you thinking? Who do you think you are?!"

My nephew doesn't believe me that Im going to Africa. He's says that "it's way too far away, and besides-if you drink water you're not used to, you'll get sick".  I told him about long plane rides & lots of vaccinations, but he still doesn't believe me. He even bet me a dollar I wasn't going.

I have to bring back 1,000 pictures to prove it to him. ( Read more... )

The more I read about the countries I will be visiting in Africa, the more excited I've become about this opportunity to travel.
