This journal is now 'friends only'. This is the place to ask, if you want adding.
Once added, if you're here for fic, just click the 'Pherber9 Fic Archive' link at the top of the page.
Thanks,
Pherbs

Basically.
I am so torn and upset about it all, to be honest. But, I hit someone's journal taday, so I could link them for the Albion Recs Christmas thingie, and they'd flagged their journal and it just made my flesh crawl. Because all you can see everywhere you look is adult disclaimers. And this author's writing just doesn't deserve that treatment. And I thought, if anyone decides to take against me - friend or foe - and flags my journal - which, sadly is now possible, thanks to LJ - I couldn't take going down the 'Abuse Prevention Committee' process. I know my intentions are good and I know my background and I would literally rather haul all my stuff offline rather than go through the indignity/re-abuse of having to defend my stuff online to some jumped-up, fuckwit 'committee ( ... )

Fucking hell, all so very disturbing, isn't it? Cant really understand why this is all happening, so many forces seem to be wanting to create an aura of paranoia in our lovely little community, eh? *strokes you* hugs and kisses.xxxxxx

I saw the same journal this morning, love. I really don't get it. Who is LJ to decide who can and cannot read "adult" content. Or for what matter, what should rate as "adult concepts" and "explicit adult content." Would depend on the person I would think. I suppose I can understand the *idea* of wanting to protect minors, but isn't setting their limits the job of their parents?

Looks like censorship from where I stand.

lolz Ok, my take on it, given their angelic qualities, would be:
Ariel - Empathy - white and purple
Raphael - Passion - white and red
Azariel - Righteousness - white and blue
Ezekiel - Tenderness - white and green

Can you actually achieve the colour white in a tat, then?

Kissy kissy

it's not for the tat actually, it's a surprise.. ;p well, not anymore, really, but.. LOL

but yes, to answer your question, basically every tattoo artists uses white, to set of the dark colours. just depends on your skin, how well it takes. mine kinda has a tendency to suck up the white, cause it's so white, anyway lol

I just remembered this quote. it's from "Dead Beat" by Jim Butcher. Dunno if you've ever heard of it. it's a series of fantasy/crime novels that are absolutely amazing and I'm gonna pimp them in my journal in a bit but nevermind that now LOL just wanted to quote this for you

It's Harry, the main character, talking to a fallen angel, who offers her help, but he's weary cause he doesn't think she's got good intentions. anyway

She smiled, rising. "I understand your refusal to allow another to control your life. It's a poisonous, repugnant notion to think of someone who would dictate your every move, impose upon you a code of behavior you could not accept, and refuse to allow you choice, expression, and the pursuit of your own heart's purpose."
"Pretty much," I said.
The fallen angel smiled. "Then believe me when I say that I know precisely how you feel. All of the Fallen do."

Just thought you'd like it..
*hugs*

Ah, love the quote. Perfect for my libertine, renegade angels, too. Thanks for that. ;)

Did you know the original (Babylonian, I think) story of Lucifer is that God ordered him to bow down to Mankind because they were God's creation. And Lucifer refused because he loved God so much, he couldn't bear to love Mankind, instead? In other words, he wasn't evil, just totally love-struck. But, God cruelly punished him anyway for disobeying. Puts a slightly different spin on Luci... and God! lolz

'T is all myths and legends... They change depending on who's telling the story. Always better to read as many versions of the story as you can then make your own mind up, I guess.

And you can find versions of the story everywhere, if you've a mind to. There are so many great ideas out there in the fantasy/comics/sci-fi/crime genres...

s'why i thought you might enjoy it :) gave me a bit of a pause and made me smile. even though i think she eventually will turn out as a bad guy, but nevermind that LOL

you know, for exactly those kind of angels on the whole thing, i've always wanted to read the bible and all the old myths and all the versions of it, but most stuff i just find impossible to read.. is there anything (in print) that you particularly recommand?

Tbh, haven't read the bible since I was 11, at which point me and Catholicism firmly parted company! lolz But, I do remember The Book of Revelations was a total horrorshow mindfuck - not particularly recommended unless you like that sort of thing. And The Song of Solomon is a total hoot, 'cos it's basically a religious fic, as far as I recall. It's all about teh sex ( ... )
