You make me wanna pick up a guitar

I'm three songs into the new Devin Townsend album and I already want to cry with happiness.

Thank you, Devin, for being the only musician who can make me want to sob my eyes out and piss myself laughing over the course of one song. Please come back to the UK soon. You are a real inspiration to me.

The crazy thing is that I only bought it on the off-chance that it might be good, as I wasn't that impressed with "Accelerated Evolution" and I figured he'd never, ever make an album as good as "Terria". How incredibly wonderful to be being proved wrong.

A copy? Noooooo problem!

Ahhh, memories of commandeering the 6th Form common room stereo and putting on "Oh My Fucking God", only to have to drastically reduce the volume when the deputy head walked in.

Yep, SYL are great. They were, in fact, my way into Devin. And I saw them on the "City" tour :)

I saw Devin, not this time round, alas, and also saw Zimmer's hole, teh DTB and SYL....fucking hell that man is a God among men.

I saw that tour too :) My overriding memory of it is the Zimmer's Hole frontman squirting vodka and red bull into the mouths of the front row from a rubber cock.

And yes, Devin is a God amongst men.

I most definitely recommend that you get your hands on it as soon as humanly possible. I don't think a new album has given me this much joy in a long time.
