As many of you know, I do a lot of music editing: I not only enjoy it, but I know it's useful to many other people around the world through websites like the Choral Public Domain Library. I rather suspect this is the tip of the iceberg, since a lot of people use CPDL scores without feeling obliged to send an e-mail to say "thanks for making this free to use". So it's nice to get the bouquets (or the occasional weird message or brickbat) - if everyone who used those scores did so, I'd have to spend all my time replying...
