Wrap up of weekend

In brief:

Friday night: the cocktail party was grouse. Waves at all the Sarahs (evil_s, mawaridi, foxe, and Sarah from Wonga Park, whose lj identity I do not know).
Saturday morning: yum cha with most of the remaining people from the cocktail party, some of whom (e.g. splatchtrock) were looking a bit worse for wear.
Saturday afternoon: lazing around in new home with Fe and seaburke.

Ooh - Lupin is squeeable, then? All I have heard so far is that Sirius is most emphatically not. Still trying to make arrangements to go see it at some point.

Cocktail party indeed Went Off (TM). We were marvelling the next morning at the amount of alcohol that had been drunk, judging by the levels in some of the bottles! Sarah from Wonga Park (aka Rah) shall henceforth be known as Sarah Without A LJ.

I have to agree with you about Sirius - I find Gary Oldman about as "squeeable" as cuddling a hungry Rottweiler. All the same, he does have a few moments in the film, but not nearly so many as David Thewlis as Lupin (squeal); Michael Gambon's Dumbledore has a lot less screen-time in this one, so Lupin provides the sympathetic adult rôle. If you haven't seen it yet, I'll forgo from saying any more!

What was impressive about the party must have been the amount of spirits that were consumed. The bottom of my champagne cocktail was positively hangover inducing...

You'd look worse for wear too if you had just spent a night sharing a bedroom with no less than three Sarahs. *Yawns hugely*

Ah yes, I've been very remiss not to lj announce the housewarming.

It's at 22/411 Lygon from around 8 `til late. We will have the MIV table courtesy of your local intervarsity convenor, so non-alcoholic drinkies could be useful. I've already bought some nibbles (corn chips, sweet chili salsa, hommus and sundried tomato dips) but I suppose we're hoping people will bring a modest contribution!

We'll be there. I will have to do a runner halfway through to pick up a Coven member who is staying at our place tonight (we have an Imbolc ritual at dawn tomorrow!), but will be back afterwards.

I'm pretty sure I can scrounge the chips and dips up for you. Better yet, I'll bring the popcorn machine, some nuttelex and salt!!! heheheheheheh

Yes to the popcorn machine and corn kernels - but I just bought a new tub of Nuttelex half an hour ago!

I'm sure I've seen that Devon Rex somewhere before...
