At the election party-cum-wake on Saturday night, the opinion was expressed that above the line voting in the Senate - where you trust your Party to distribute preferences on your behalf - was a better option than having to number the dozens of boxes below the line - where you need to make an informed judgement on the very large number of parties ( Read more... )

I just want to go curl up and go to sleep until the next election. I don't think I can handle any more of Howard's crap.

I'm also pissed off with Labor for the reasons you list above, among many others. Seems the only party with any sense left is the Greens, and they got mashed by preference deals.

Don't even get me started on the same-sex marriage stance of Labor - that was enough to clinch my vote away from them for me. It was at that point that I confirmed that I would definitely be voting Green, who support same-sex marriage. Up until that point, I was probably going to vote Labor.

*sigh again*

I need chocolate to cope with this! Nope - no choc in the house. But we have some lovely seedless grapes that might do the trick!
