Google Earth has gone fairly hi-res on Cardiff - 'tis pretty. Go look :) [via Leo and his mobile telephone] Not quite high res enough to see the junk in our back yard, but it can only be a matter of time.
Yep, Cardiff's not as high-res as London or Swansea yet, but a lot better than it was. If you haven't found it already, I recommend the Google Earth Community for interesting finds and categories (some people post links to hi-res overlays as well which you can download to your copy of GE). They also have a news page where you can find out about the new bits straightaway (the new UK hi-res images have been on there since the 2nd of Dec).
Well, Leo and I are our own Google Earth Community, we've been hooked on it for ages. There are some ridiculously cool things in the world. I'm still hoping that the mountain with the 200ft pink bunny in Italy gets rescanned before long.
At the risk of sounding patronising, you've installed Google Earth on your 'puter, right? If not, you need to download and install the program from here (Windows and Mac versions available). Then, the links from Google Earth Community should open up Google Earth when you click on them and you'll leap to that location (depending on your browser you may have to tell it to associate the placeholder/overlap files with Google Earth).
