Bleaaaagh.

Well, I've been sitting under 2 duvets, with the electric blanket on full, slowly cooking - yet shivering.

If you include the weird head-trippiness and feeling like hell, then I conclude that I must have some sort of pesky disease. Grr....

Well, if you do, James tells me it only lasts a day or two. I'm trying to avoid you all so you don't get it.

If you count chicken in the form of cup-a-soup. But that was afterwards, and also kind of grim. Mmmm, weak chicken drink.

I hope you feel better soon! Eat loads of chicken soup and drink hot tea-especially ginger tea which will make you warm.

The chicken soup I have is rubbish, I need to get some chicken noodle soup with farmhouse bread, but I can't motivate myself to go shopping or cook. Bleah. I may investigate the world of lazily buying food online...

oh if you can do that, thats wonderful;-) ive been too ill to get out (no car) and havent been to teh grocery in over a month. amazingly ive been discovering useful forgotten food in my pantry;-) Ive been making chicken soup from scratch by just throwing a few pieces of frozen chicken in the pot(rice cooker, but a stovetop pot would do the same) along with the rice and garlic and then waiting a bit and adding a chopped up carrot and celery and some celery seed, maye a can of chopped or crushed tomatoes or whatever. Hafta pull the chicken out once its cooked and cut it off the bones but its not too much work really, even when rancidly ill. So much better than the canned stuff wit msg and goddess knows what in it too;-)
Hope you are on the mend-or at least keeping warm and getting soup and such!

If I only had a pantry - I've got some hot dog sausages in a tin, but it isn't really the same ;) It sounds yum though!
