1. “Hannah,” Neville greeted as he walked into the Three Broomsticks.

“Hello, Neville,” Hannah said as she directed a broom with her wand to a particularly dirty corner of the room. “I’ll be done in a few and then we can go.”

“All right,” Neville said as he took a seat at the bar.

“Pour yourself a drink, Neville. We just got a new ale on tap. Its quite lovely,” Hannah said as the broom finished the last few touches on the floor.

Neville did just that, only realizing after he’d poured the drink that he had no money to pay Hannah with. “I’m a bit short tonight. I could pay you tomorrow night?”

“Don’t worry about it, Neville. I’m sure we can find some other way for you to pay me back,” Hannah said with an innocent smile. “I do need a massage after all and your hands are just what the Healer prescribed.”

2. She saw her life in a series of wonderful day dreams. Each of them starred a different boy in her year, sometimes an older one if she were feeling particularly mature that day. At times it was Harry Potter defending her from Lord Voldemort. Other times she dreamed of Michael Corner presenting her with a box of chocolates or Dean Thomas unable to paint her for he found it cheapened her natural beauty.

Lately though she’d become hung up on one day dream in particular. Neville Longbottom sweating slightly from a hard day’s work in the Greenhouse holding an apple in his outstretched arm as if he were offering her the world and his shirt clinging to every bit of skin. She had no idea what these dreams meant, but she was never able to look at Neville quite the same way again.

3. “Ask him, Hannah,” Susan commanded. “All the fan girls have left and I’m certain he’ll want to talk to a familiar face.”

“I don’t have anything to say, Susan. If he really wants to talk to me then he’ll come and see me,” Hannah said.

“You’re being a twit about this, Hannah. He’s only fifteen feet away. We were all in the DA together. I don’t see why he’d forget he knew us now.”

“Fine, I’ll go over there now. Happy?”

“Very,” Susan said.

4. “I think its your move,” Neville said after five minutes of silence between the two of them.

Hannah laughed and finally said what they were both thinking. “This was a horrible idea, Neville. I’m sorry, I just didn’t realize how bad we both were at Wizarding Chess. Or maybe I did and just thought that-”

“We could just skip the chess and go straight to the stripping,” Neville said hopefully.

“Very true,” Hannah said with a surprised grin. “Where should we start?”

5. “What did you think married life would be like, Neville?” Hannah asked as she munched happily on an apple while Neville rowed their boat down the river than ran behind their home.

“Mmmm, not sure. I tried to look at some of our other married friends to get an idea, but all of them are so different. I suppose I thought it would be quite different from when we courted, but not too different. Just more time spent together.”

“Is that a bad thing?”

“Never,” Neville said with a grin.
