Draco is quite confident of his chances. Isn't he? Will you be writing more of this. I find it interesting. I liked the irony of the line about the Weasley's being proud of how pure they are.

Thanks! I kind of enjoyed writing Draco for the first time. He's such an interesting character because he believes 100% of everything he says, which is both dangerous and somewhat humorous at times. Plus, there's his ego with nothing to really back it up. He hasn't lived up to any of the claims he's made about himself and yet he still continues to make them.

I doubt I'll do anymore with it this story though. I really am trying to finish that Neville/Cho story (two more chapters done, but not yet posted and three more to go) plus I'm trying to be better about writing comedy. I'm still doing the springtime_gen and I'll still do drabble give-aways like this one, but I don't think I have the time it would take to actually follow up on this.

Thanks again!

ps feel free to request something. I might not have time to get it together till next Sunday, but I will work on it.

There's all sorts of hilarity in here! I think my favourite was "He acted meanly, but he was good looking" ...okay then, Gilderoy. This romance-novel-reading, finding-Weasleys-judgmental Draco was delightfully clueless. And then the literal interpretation you drew! The foppish bit of fringe on his forehead! The calm resolve needed to throw one's over-inflated head off a cliff! The absurdism went great with the drabble.

Thank you so much!

Thanks, Draco was more fun to write than I had originally imagined because he was very hard to take seriously. I think the first time I ever read Draco was when he was a side character in a Percy/Katie story. It was one of those stories where purebloods are ordered to marry/mate with half-bloods and the like. They can only get out of this if they're otherwise engaged/married to another pureblood. Draco claims to be a suitor for Ginny and comes off as egotistical to the point of being kind of funny. I think that characterization's always stuck with me, hence this story :)
