[Otacon was not in great shape today. The Rocket takeover had left him with bruises and a broken arm in a cast. He looked exhausted as well as injured when the video came on, but there were a few things he needed to take care of. First, there was someone else that should have been in the Radio Tower that day that he hadn't heard from.]

[Otacon didn't say anything for a few minutes, doing all he could not to start crying uncontrollably. It felt like if he started now, he'd never be able to stop.]

[Once he'd calmed down just a little, he wrapped his uninjured arm around Liquid's shoulders and hugged him tightly.]

[There really wasn't anything he could say right now without breaking down.]

[He was all right with silence, and he was certainly all right with hugs. Hal needed it right now, and he was just glad that the engineer hadn't been too badly harmed.]

[He hadn't been able to protect Hal very well, but what more could you expect of worthless trash like him?]
