Apparantly a number of people are now bitching behind my back about my decision to step down from the station manager position. Of course I expected this -- I would have been an idiot not to. It's still upsetting though. One person who was a staff member last year was overheard calling the choice "irresponsible". Sarah can correct me if I'm wrong, ( Read more... )

I was pleased to hear that you & Sarah were working together to facilitate the process of changing over. Good luck with the first meetings of the year and I'm sure everything will work out for the best.

Thanks, Mac. I have no doubts that this is going to be a great year for KUMM.

By the way, I heard about your new job recently. That's AWESOME news. Congrats on that. You absolutely deserve it, and I hope it takes you far, man.

I think the pissed off people are just mad because they only know that you quit and they don't realize how much work you've been doing to get it all working again. the person I talked to acted like tehy didn't know that whole story. *shrug* at least YOU know how un-"irresponsible" you've been about this whole thing. Don't let them get to you. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Can't please everyone, Phil. It'll get better as the year progresses, don't worry about it.

And as someone once said (who, I have no idea): "If you aren't pissing at least a few people off, you aren't doing anything worthwhile."

I agree with whoever is the picture of the tiger and think that most people who are being bitchy about this whole thing don't understand everything fully, and often haven't tried too. That's kind of how everything in the world works though, so, *shrug*. The activities fair went great!!

Glad to hear it. You and Kristin did a freaking amazing job with the table, so I'm not surprised. That thing was GREAT. It may go down as the best table at the Activities Fair for years to come.

I don't know what I was going to say about KUMM or you stepping down. I think that issue pales in comparison to the number of people coming out of the closet claiming to be bisexual.

These sorts of intentional misunderstandings really get me thinking about writing. It's too bad that unintentional misunderstandings can make things so much worse.
