I agree with you about the fate of New Orleans. As natural disasters go, that one really shook me up (that the lack of response could happen in such an advanced nation, I think), and the lack of concern over rebuilding has been quite shocking. Of course, the rich touristy areas survived and apparently that's all that matters. *sigh*
