Back to School, Fully Pierced!

Earlier today, I received some wonderful news.  The school that had “dis-invited” me because of my piercings had reconsidered.  My author visit was back on.

Thank you for turning this into a teachable moment. It would have been easy to make it a fight. It was fun to share this story with my first and fifth grade sons and ask what they thought about it ("Dad, how come you never wear your earrings?" being my favorite reaction).
