You have the perfect day. Sometimes it takes a few days (or months or years) to realize that, in retrospect, everything was wonderful. Sounds awesome!

We were on Mt. Tam on Saturday! Didn't make the 10 mile hike, though -- just drove up to the East Peak or something. You're like hardcore hikers or something, eh? XD

It's a nice mountain, for sure, although the hike up to East Peak is not as interesting as other parts of it, so you got the best parts most efficiently by driving. Hey--let me know next time you're in my neck of the woods. I had a good time last time we met up in Oakland.

As for hiking, my sense of what it takes to be hard-core grows like the apocryphal goldfish bowl (or Dilbert's boss's chair): I don't impress myself that much by having completed ten miles (unless there's a lot of elevation gained to go with it). I need to do 15 miles now before I consider the hike to be a big deal.

Well, are you and Mr. Philena free for the summer? I have 2 weeks free before I head off to my summer travels, and would love to visit for a lunch/afternoon some weekday...
