Hail? Really? I knew about the rain and the wind, but... maybe instead of going to a birthday party on the other side of town, I'll stay here and make soup stock.

I can't confirm the hail; but for a few minutes the noise against my windows was definitely louder than the average rain&wind storm.

The ingredients of lemon curd involve sugar, butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and eggs to make everything thicken. It's really, really yummy--like lemon custard--and it's particularly good on homemade biscuits and/or cheesecake. You should be able to find some in the supermarket--it was available even in Ft. Wayne, so it's not that rare--but if you've got a rainy day and some lemons, it's very easy to make.
