Well, it appeared that my poor showing in the summser sausage festival was a bad omen. By rejecting the tradition of eating the sausage in a day and taking a week, I cursed the Lake City area with no snow for two months. This past weekend I realized I had to make ammends for it

HEY! That's right! Justin didn't even eat any sausage and we're having a very Georgia like winter. Actually, warmer than a regular Georgia winter.

i think it may be your responsibility to eat a sausage for your region. the tradition stands - 12 oz summer sausaqe eaten by 1 person in 24 hours. good luck!

I ate mine, and still it has been warm and mild, which is a bad omen, warm mild Decembers typically = crappy January's and February's in this area because the if the lake doesn't get cooled down, then when the January winds hit it, instant snow machine.
