Out with the old, and in with the new.

As we all grow older we seem to grow out of old habits, such as playing army in the case of the boys or house in case of the girls. This sounds a bit sexist but i assure you i have a point ( Read more... )

I've found myself being very nostalgic recently, remembering things like my first day of school, or that time i went to Spain. Anyway, I've watched some of the old classics recently, and I wonder what the hell happened - to them, to me or to the TV. Like why is there a crash in almost every episode of 'Thomas the Tank Engine' these days? Who is Doctor Eggman in Sonic? In pokemon - where the hell is 'Hoenn'? Why do I talk such utter garbage on livejournal?

Still, at least one classic hasn't changed - 'The Raccoons' is still as cheesy as ever.

Ah, memories...

Optimus Prime
Fighting Crime!

I (this is very sad) accheived a reputation as kids show master- for my wealth of knowledge about far too many of them.

Did you ever watch the Racoons? Bert Racoon et al?
People only saw it if they were the kind of kids who awoke at 5, watched Aussie Rules on Transworld Sport then the Racoons on BBC2

Quiet. Peaceful. Serene.
That is until Bert Raccon wakes up." (Yahoooooooooooooooo)

etc..

Such a great theme song - not like today's rubbish.

Sonic probably has cards in it because they are trying to market a 'Sonic - the card game' and appeal to the masses of 7-11 year olds whose parents will buy the cards for their children to shut them up.

As for Funhouse - Pat Sharp probably still has the same hairdo now as he did in the 80's (the power mullet!), and the twins who were on there as the cheerleaders must be older than me.

One show I'm re-discovering now is 'Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds', although the main thought floating through my head as I watch it now is: "Dogtaninan's such a whiny brat!"

PS - I'm now unreachable on MSN - I've deleted my account, for a few reasons.

Come on! Luigi was much nicer than Mario, especially in the film - Luigi was quite the 'buff' guy as you kids would say ( ... )
