The world conspires against me. I actually had a week off medical appointments last week, and I think I spent most of it in disbelief. Hoping that hospital visits will wind down now. But no. I had to go in on Monday, when they told me my liver values were up again and I needed another scan on Friday, and another appointment next Monday. Oh, ( Read more... )

I'm glad you're managing to slid in Aikido between all the not fun stuff.

It's tough to feel creative when there are so many things going on. Have you tried daydreaming up a shorter project? Or working on something you trunked, but still love?

I know what you mean about the creative brain being sapped--not that I'm draining fluid from my lungs, but every time I've started something in the past few months, I've had time to get about a thousand words in and then I have to set it aside and can't remember why I wanted to write it in the first place. :( :( :( I will send your muse vibes to give you an idea!

I have a theory that jury selection is not random at all. Instead, they just keep calling on anyone who actually showed up in the past. That's the only way to explain why I get called repeatedly and Charles has NEVER been called, even though he REALLY REALLY wants to be on a jury!
