This is probably the earliest I've gotten up and stayed up in a while (8 am). Today I have a 9:45 to 5:45 shift. When school starts I'll have to be getting up even earlier than this most days. I'll try to get myself into the habit of getting to bed early and getting up early. I've never been good at that, and always felt better staying up late ( Read more... )

Though I've also always been fond of calm, quiet mornings.

i too am a fan. i like the early morning stillness and drinking a cup of something tasty while you listen to the sounds the world makes while it's finishing up one last dream. it's best when camping, i think

Mornings in a campground is a completely different experience, I think.

I like empty streets just as the sun rises. Magical.

I love early mornings as well even though it kills me to get up early. I love the freshness of the morning. I work mostly afternoon shifts and at first it was so sweet sleeping in and whatnot, but now i think it depresses me, especially being on a different schedule than most people.

I'm in the same situation. Most people I know work days, so I end up missing things.

Because I'm so used to sleeping in, it feels like I'm not nearly as productive as I could be if I got up earlier.

I love mornings in spring and summer, but mornings in winter is hell when you wake up at seven and the sun isn't up yet, you just feel disgusting. I am very afraid for school to start and to lose my sleeping in.
