The fairy lights twinkling above his head had to have been Cully’s idea. He smiled softly at her, watching the small lights dance across her features.
She lazily returned the smile, “I am going to miss you, Gavin.”
He blinked at her, an idea forming from the wistful tone of her voice, “You don’t have to. Come with me.”
“To Middlesbourgh,” confusion knitted her brow.
He nodded, his hand seeking out hers.
She bit her lip, “For the weekend?”
“I reckon forever,” he brought her hand to his lips and kissed a trail up her fingers.
She kissed him, “Forever.”
