I'm thrilled he got it - love both the sound and look. He tried guitars from the brands he expected to consider, and this was better than any of them. And the Cosmo Music salesperson, Mark, was excellent at demos, at explaining the differences between any two guitars and at finding a FEW select guitars to try that fit Phil's criteria. He only works there on Saturdays; he's worth seeking out.

I know exactly where Phil will be at every possible waking moment for the next few days. I'll see if he'll bring it New Year's Eve - anyone here want him to?

Technically, not very shiny at all...which is one of the reasons I got it. :) In spite of the humbucker pickups, it's trying to be the anti-Les Paul: very light, no thick lacquer, not much ornamentation....

Thanks. It's my a first real electric...ever. It will be a while before I figure out what I'm doing with it, if ever.

I had one for a short time. I had a copy of C++ I believe(?) and a friend traded me his old fender electric for it. I never did use it - I guess I'm just an acoustic, or more rightly electric/acoustic person at heart - so eventually he got it back so it didn't go to waste and he wanted to start using it again. I got to find out if I liked it though and that was the point of the exercise. :)

We haven't talked about what all we might be going to this year. FKO, Detcon1, and OVFF are on the list but I'm not sure what else will be.
